Nathan Sinai Rayman’s ongoing, wide-ranging project GALLERY CUBED is a multi-media, research-based endeavor appropriating the white-cube gallery and related financial and social networks as readymades. Positioning the white-cube gallery as a node among these interconnected networks, he manipulates them: diverting pre-existing streams of art (process to product), capital, labor, and social relations to different destinations.

At the same time, GALLERY CUBED functions as an entrepreneurial enterprise that deviates from the standard path of art production and sales. He structures GALLERY CUBED as a holding company to both reference the contemporary art world as an allegory commenting on and exposing opaque mechanisms of broader financial and social systems and explore variations of these systems through subsidiary projects, such as the GALLERY (a portable franchise gallery) and the NEA (Network of Extraordinary Artists).
